For those of you who have been sitting on the edge of your seats waiting for the grand tour, or at least a renovation update of our little cottage, wait no more. Here are a few snaps of our beautiful home, in all its glory.
Do you like what I have done with the fireplace? It's my pièce de résistance. I love how raw and rustic it looks. Especially with the tools so casually left in the corner. And the garden? I decided to leave all those metal pipes just lying there, it’s like a mini obstacle course. And what about the floors? They are my favourite. There is nothing I love more than a dirty concrete slab. So industrial-chic, don't you think?
All jokes aside, the truth is we have come across a rather large and unwanted bump in the road. A certain local Sydney council so kindly rejected our development application. What does this mean you ask? Well, for us, it means we need to start all over again. With the planning, the construction methods. The lot. Being rejected makes me feel well, rejected. It's hardcore. So while we weigh up our options and assess our finances it is tools down onsite. But don't feel too sad for us, we will find a solution and it will be tops. Especially if my husband has anything to do with it. That man is a superstar.
Good luck with the rest of the renovation! Are you keeping the fireplace? xo Za
